Participles in English refers to a word formed from a verb. For example - Running, joined, danced, etc.
There are various types of Participles:
1. Participle -ing form -- In this type, the verb is formed by adding -ing to the end. For example - jumping, skating, cooking, baking.
Some example sentences are -
I am baking right now.
2. Past Participle form - The verb is formed by adding -ed to the end.
For example - Jumped, Danced, Baked, etc.
Some examples -
1. I joined him at the shopping mall.
2. It rained last night.
In Irregular verbs, the past participle ends with -en or other variations. For example: Fallen, Struck, Undergone, Laid, etc.
3. Inflection - In this type, the verb gets modified in accordance with its grammatical function.
For example - Made (Present Perfect tense) is the verb inflected from make.
